We have been busy this week starting our Christmas celebrations! On Monday 5th December we opened our 5th Elderberries Vintage Tea Room for the over 60's in Wilmington. This will be running every Monday (except bank holidays) from 12 until 3 by our new team of Volunteers! We have a "lite bites" menu, all at a reduced price. No booking is required.
Carrying on the Christmas celebrations, on Wednesday 7th we had our "Christmas Evergreen Friends Together" at the Earl Haig, Bexleyheath. This consisted of a three course meal, the beautiful singing of Christmas carols and a quiz to finish. Each of our guests had a gift waiting at their seat. This was organised by Caroline and Wendy, our Friendship coordinators for Bexley.
We ended the week by inviting all who are involved with Evergreen over to our Wilmington office. They got into the festive spirit with a Mulled wine and a mince pie.
Here at Evergreen, we like to make the most of the Christmas period which is why our festivities haven't finished yet! The Kings Arms pub in Bexleyheath are holding a Christmas meal for our clients tomorrow. In addition to this, there will be an Elderberries Christmas meal at Wolsley House.
The celebrations finish on Monday the19th with a Christmas meal at our Belvedere Elderberries. This will have a combination of 72 guests from three of our Elderberries locations.
Thank you to the Kings Arms, Bexleyheath and to all of our Elderberries volunteers for making this Christmas special for our clients!!
