A partnership that benefits the local community

Here at Evergreen we have always had a heart to bring together the different generations. There is so much each generation can learn from another. Our elderly clients have seen such change during their lifetime and are full of stories which are actually a history lesson to the young. Our younger generation live in a digital world that is changing so quickly it tends to leave our older generation behind, leaving them unable to do many things such as online applications, mobile banking and much more.

By working with schools, both primary and secondary, we hope to open up communications between these generation and correct some of the misconceptions each have about the other. We’ve already had primary school children visiting our Elderberries Cafes and past visits have proved beneficial to both.

​

We are happy to provide talks to your pupils and work with you on ideas that will bring generations together to inspire and enrich the lives of each, both relationally and educationally.

​

Schools can also help Evergreen by raising finance for us through your fundraising activities. Also, by partnering with schools, it gives us the opportunity of sharing our work with the children’s guardians, some of whom may be interested in a volunteer role with our charity, or support us through our Friends of Evergreen Scheme.
